La película estadounidense "Like Crazy" fue la máxima triunfadora en la categoría ficción.

En el género documental el reconocimiento recayó en "How to die in Oregon".

Con figuras como Todd McCarthy y Jason Reitman en el jurado de la categoría ficción, y Matt Groening (creador de "Los Simpsons") entre los jurados para el ámbito documental, la edición 2011 del prestigioso Festival de Cine Independiente de Sundance  dio a conocer a sus ganadores, que fueron los siguientes:
