Quanzhou fue añadida a la Lista del Patrimonio Mundial de la Unesco como un sitio cultural, con lo que asciende a 56 el número total de sitios del Patrimonio Mundial de China. Quanzhou, una ciudad costera en la provincia de Fujian, en el este de China, fue un centro de comercio marítimo mundial en las dinastías Song y Yuan (960-1368).
