El argentino Tomás Etcheverry no pudo este lunes con el polaco Hubert Hurkacz, que se impuso en dos sets, por 7-6 (7) y 6-2, y pasó a los octavos de final del Masters 1.000 de Roma.

Hurkacz, verdugo del español Rafael Nadal en segunda ronda, se quitó de en medio a Etcheverry que, pese a su buen partido en el primer set, no pudo contenerlo en el segundo, en el que fue atropellado.

Hurkacz se medirá en octavos de final al ganador del duelo entre el argentino Sebastián Baéz y el danés Holger Rune.
