"¡Mil millones de reproducciones para 'Never Gonna Give You Up' en YouTube! ¡Increíble, loco, maravilloso!", dijo en Twitter el propio Astley en un video mientras se relajaba en un lago.

El video de "Never Gonna Give You Up",lanzado en 1987, se ha convertido en la fuente de uno de las bromas más populares de Internet: el "Rickrolling ", un tipo de gancho que invita a leer algo en particular pero al hacer clic en el link envía al clip de la canción en YouTube.
