"Game of Thrones", la serie que ha ganado más premios en la historia de los Emmy, partirá como favorita en la 70 edición de los galardones más importantes de la industria televisiva al lograr 22 candidaturas.

La Academia de la Televisión anunció este jueves, en un acto en Los Ángeles, los candidatos para los Emmy de este año, que se celebrarán el próximo 17 de septiembre en el Teatro Microsoft de la ciudad californiana.

Por detrás de "Game of Thrones" se situaron las series "Westworld" y "The Handmaid's Tale", con 21 y 20 candidaturas, respectivamente.

MEJOR SERIE DRAMÁTICA

"Game of Thrones", que con 38 premios Emmy es la serie más galardonada en la historia de estos reconocimientos, luchará por el Emmy a la mejor serie dramática frente a:

  • "The Americans"
  • "The Crown"
  • "The Handmaid's Tale"
  • "Stranger Things"
  • "This is Us"
  • "Westworld"

MEJOR COMEDIA

En el apartado de mejor comedia se verán las caras: 

  • "Atlanta"
  • "Barry"
  • "black-ish"
  • "Curb Your Enthusiasm"
  • "GLOW"
  • "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel"
  • "Silicon Valley"
  • "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"
