Un sismo de mediana intensidad se percibió a las 09:15 horas en las regiones del Maule, Ñuble, Biobío y La Araucanía, según reportaron Senapred y el CSN.

Según el Centro Sismológico, el movimiento telúrico alcanzó los 4,8 Richter y su epicentro ocurrió a 36 kilómetros al sureste de Cobquecura, en la Región de Ñuble. La profundidad, indicó el organismo técnico, ocurrió a 44 kilómetros. 

Senapred, la ex Onemi, reportó que el sismo se percibió con mayor fuerza en Ñuble donde alcanzó los V Mercalli.
